Senior Games 2009

Dear tennis player,

This year, the Senior Games will be organized in September 2009 in the Dutch province Zeeland, and an estimated 3.000 athletes 50 years and older from all over the world are expected to join.
Participants will compete during this Multi-sport Event in no less than 21 major sports. This event is the first of its kind in Europe, a unique opportunity for the Netherlands.

Tennis is one of the main sports in the Senior Games 2009 program. Beneath one can find the specific information concerning the tennis tournament.

Program*
The tennis tournament will be organized from Monday 7th till Saturday 12th September.
* The organization has the right to change the program at all time.

Participation
Registration is open to members of an international federation who qualify according to the minimum ratings as described below.

Age category Minimum rating
50 - 54 years 4
55 - 59 years 5
60 - 64 years 6
65 - 75 years 7
75 - 79 years 8
80 - 84 years 8
85+ 8

Tournament
In each category:
- Men's and women's Singles
- Men's and women's Doubles
- Mixed-doubles
The age category for the mixed doubles is determined by the age of the youngest player.
